Ducklings!

Last month we bought some eggs for Gary, and just a few days ago they hatched! Now she's roaming around the yard with 4 ducklings waddling behind her.

From searching around on the internet some, I think the two black and yellow ones are acona ducks, and the other two are Pekins. Whenever Gary wanders across the yard and their not behind her they usually start freaking out and running around in a group chirping, and then Gary comes back when she hears them. It was only a day later of hatching that they started wandering around out of the nest.

So I was mowing the lawn...

The other day when mowing, Gary didn't fallow me around like she usually does.

Gary was laying in the middle of the yard just in the edge of the shade, when I finally got around that part going past I expected her to move, when I got about 3 inches away with the mower, still she layed there. As I started to come up to her I picked her up and placed her somewhere else and mowed in the spot and when I turned around after going past and she walked over, then layed down right back where she was. I didn't really see anything special about the spot but I guess Gary did. It was a random place.

A hawk!

Gary's had a visitor for awhile now, and by the title of this post you should know who, there's a hawk out to get Gary, and had a couple attempts at swooping down to get her. So far it's mostly been sitting on the fence and watching her while she quacks to let us know something's wrong. 

Gary's back!

After a long time of not updating her blog she's finally back!

Nothing really gets by without Gary knowing about it, you can walk up to the window for a second and she'll know. And possible stare at you like in the photo above. 

She has recently started laying some eggs again too.

So she Gary hasn't yet learned that getting on Joes nerves isn't a good idea, and now her wing has a hole in it. Earlier she got to go play out in the front yard, she really enjoyed it!!! The pictures are on her facebook page first, later I'll upload them onto here. Anyways, we did the same thing yesterday except she didn't want to come inside!! Even 3 labs running around her, she would've only gotten up if she absolutely had to.

Wind Up Duck

At the moment, Gary is pacing around like she is protesting the two black pieces of furniture I put up to keep her from leaving the room. quacking and chirping to anyone who'll listen, She has already made multiple messes. With the usual look as if she is plotting, she appears to be looking for holes in my security system, so far no luck. Now pestering Our brown lab Parcel, no luck with her either.
